From September 1, 1925, all letters submitted on holidays and telegrams submitted after working hours (from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and on holidays were additionally paid with special postage stamps (the so-called "sanatorium fund" stamps). Such stamps were also used to pay for postal items addressed "on demand" and some other postal services. This practice continued until 1949. After that, these stamps were used as ordinary postage stamps.
